Endowed Chair in Raspberry Industry Development

This chair is established by the Washington Red Raspberry Commission to ensure the research and progress of the Raspberry industry in Washington.

The Washington Red Raspberry Commission (WRRC) formed in 1976 to support and promote the raspberry industry to oversee programs that facilitate cultural and harvesting improvements, and regulate trade practices and provides for research in the production and processing of raspberries. Each member is committed to growing, harvesting and processing the highest quality berries in the world, and meeting the most stringent quality standards on the planet.

Uses and Purposes

This endowment is established for the purpose of enhancing the development and implementation of cutting edge industry technology and research for raspberry farms of Washington.
