Frank and Mary Lou Omstead collaborated closely with WSU’s Experiment Stations in Prosser and Pullman on viticulture and tree fruit research as longtime producers in the Roza expansion. This scholarship is established in their honor to support the industry and those who will carry it forward.
Award Requirements
Scholarships will be awarded to students who are residents of Eastern Washington and are studying agricultural-based degrees, with a preference for juniors or seniors studying Horticulture, or Agricultural, Technology and Production Management, or Viticulture (not Enology).
The scholarship may be renewed based on the recipient maintaining a GPA of above 3.0. Renewal for a graduate student is allowed if the senior continues their studies at Washington State University as a graduate student.
The applicants must have a 3.0 GPA or above.
