College of Agricultural, Human, and Natural Resource Sciences Excellence & Community Funds
If you’re struggling to afford food, housing, or transportation, success in school becomes so much harder. Through donor support, scholars in CAHNRS are able to handle financial crises and stay on track to complete their degrees.
4-H Youth Development
4-H is a program of Washington State University Extension. It is managed jointly by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Washington’s land grant university (WSU), and Spokane County government. It is the largest youth development organization in the nation. 4-H is everywhere – in cities, suburbs, small towns, and rural communities.
Human Development Student Emergency Fund
Scholars in Human Development improve the wellbeing of our families and communities. Your gift helps students overcome financial hardships while performing their critical fieldwork.
WSU Extension Master Gardener Fund
Help elevate the Extension Master Gardener movement and support the WSU Master Gardener legacy to maintain tools that educate, focus on sharing knowledge, and increase the impact of more than 2,800 Washington volunteers.
The #CougsGive Impact
CougsGive directly impacts our students, research, and outreach. Last year we raised $56,040 in 24 hours for five highlighted funds! CougsGive enables us to support our most high impact funds across the College.

How can you help?
Support CAHNRS during CougsGive by signing up as an ambassador and give to a fund that means the most to you!
On April 15, ambassadors will share their CAHNRS story with their network and communities. They use their voice to spread word through social media, email, or even text about the impactful work CAHNRS is doing for the world. Ambassadors lead by example making their gift on CougsGive and inspiring other philanthropists through their stories and advocacy to do the same.
Want to make an even bigger impact? Consider sponsoring a gift challenge! Challenge gifts encourage more participation by creating a goal or “challenge” for our community to work towards accomplishing. These gifts are crucial in making CougsGive a success.
